Care Built Around People, Not Just Tasks
At Curantis, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to remain comfortable, independent, and connected to the place they call home. We provide compassionate, dependable non-medical home care designed around the individual needs of each client and family.
Why Curantis?
Curantis was created to provide families with the kind of dependable, compassionate support Rachel believes every person deserves.
Our goal is simple: help people remain at home whenever appropriate, while providing families with the confidence that their loved one is being treated with patience, dignity, and genuine care.
Our Story
Curantis was founded with a simple purpose: to make dependable, compassionate home care more personal. We understand that inviting a caregiver into your home is a decision built on trust. That's why we focus on getting to know each client, understanding their routines and preferences, and providing support that respects their independence and dignity.
Our goal is not simply to provide hours of care. It's to become a dependable source of support for individuals and the families who care about them.
Meet Rachel
With more than 20 years of experience in home care, Rachel has spent her career caring for individuals and families through some of life's most challenging circumstances. Her experience includes supporting clients living with dementia, recovering from strokes or hospitalization, managing diabetes, living with limited mobility, and receiving hospice care.
Over the years, Rachel became increasingly frustrated seeing people receive care from individuals who lacked the commitment and compassion their clients deserved. She saw firsthand how easily people could be overlooked or left behind when dependable care wasn't available. That experience became one of the reasons she decided to build Curantis.
What Good Care Means to Rachel
To Rachel, good caregiving starts with being patient, calm, comforting, reassuring, and compassionate. Care isn't simply about completing a list of tasks. It's about taking the time to understand the person behind those needs.
Rachel believes that building a genuine personal connection can make a meaningful difference in someone's quality of life. She has seen how people can thrive when they are able to remain comfortable in familiar surroundings, surrounded by the routines, memories, and things that make home feel like home.
She has also witnessed the difficult changes that can occur when individuals—particularly those living with memory loss—leave the familiarity of home for a new environment.
Our Approach to Care
At Curantis, we believe great care begins with treating every person as an individual. Our approach is centered around the person—not simply their diagnosis, condition, or daily tasks.
Patient & Calm
We understand that some days are harder than others. Our caregivers strive to provide a calm, patient presence and never rush the people we care for.
Compassionate & Respectful
We treat every client with dignity, kindness, and respect. We believe clients should feel heard, valued, and comfortable in their own home.
Personal Connection
The best care goes beyond completing tasks. We take the time to learn our clients' personalities, routines, preferences, interests, and what makes them feel at ease.
Supporting Independence
Our goal is to provide the support someone needs while encouraging them to remain as independent as possible. We believe that being able to stay involved in familiar routines can make a meaningful difference in a person's quality of life.
Family Partnership
Caring for a loved one affects the entire family. We believe in open communication and working with families to provide dependable support and peace of mind.
Care That Feels Like Home
Home is more than a location. It's familiar surroundings, personal memories, daily routines, and the people and things that bring comfort. Whenever appropriate, we strive to help our clients continue enjoying the familiarity and comfort of home.
Curantis helps families navigate the practical side of arranging home care, including private-pay services and documentation for families using long-term care insurance or eligible Veterans benefits.
