Paying for Care

Finding the right care is only part of the decision. Families also need to understand how that care will be paid for. Curantis offers straightforward private-pay home care and works with families who may be using long-term care insurance or eligible Veterans benefits to help cover the cost of care.

Private Pay

Private pay gives families the flexibility to arrange care directly with Curantis without waiting for insurance authorization or approval.

Whether you need a few hours of support each week, ongoing personal care, respite for a family caregiver, or overnight assistance, we can create a care plan around your needs and schedule.

Long Term Care Insurance

If you or a loved one has long-term care insurance, your policy may help cover qualifying in-home care services.

Every long-term care insurance policy is different. Coverage can depend on the type of policy, benefit amount, elimination period, care needs, and the insurer's requirements for home-care providers.

Curantis can work with families to help determine what documentation their policy requires and provide the care records and invoices needed for reimbursement.

How It Works

1. Tell us about your policy
Let us know which long-term care insurance company you have and whether a claim has already been opened.

2. Verify the requirements
We can help identify the insurer's requirements for home-care providers and documentation.

3. Begin your care plan
Once the family's coverage and provider requirements are understood, Curantis can begin services based on the agreed care plan.

4. Receive documentation
Curantis maintains appropriate visit records and itemized invoices that may be required by the insurance company.

Then a small disclaimer:

Important: Long-term care insurance benefits vary by individual policy. Curantis cannot guarantee coverage, reimbursement, or benefit eligibility. Clients remain responsible for payment for services provided.

Home Care for Veterans

VA Aid & Attendance

Curantis proudly provides private-pay home care for Veterans and surviving spouses.

Some Veterans and surviving spouses who receive a VA pension and need assistance with daily activities may qualify for additional benefits through VA Aid & Attendance. These benefits may help families afford eligible in-home care expenses.

Curantis Can Provide

  • Assistance with bathing and dressing

  • Mobility and everyday personal support

  • Meal preparation

  • Homemaker services

  • Companionship

  • Respite for family caregivers

  • Care plans

  • Visit documentation

  • Itemized invoices

Need Help Determining Eligibility?

**Curantis does not determine eligibility for VA benefits or prepare VA benefit claims. Families who believe they may qualify for Aid & Attendance can work with an accredited Veterans Service Officer or other VA-accredited representative.**

We can provide the care documentation and invoices associated with services provided by Curantis.
